senior post 1-4

senioritis-
deffinition-a bug more comon then the flu that usually hits in about half way thru freshman year. be warned. it will ruin your GPA. suggestions: pretend it doesnt; exist, do yor work, and suck it up, school will be over before you know it there is no reason to let a mythical disease keep you from getting into the college of yor choice the end

teachers-
some are good, some are not. thats jst the cold hard truth. some will have bipolar disease, and some will be so laid back you wont learn crap all year long. either way, your text is your BFF. use it.

senior skip days-
three words: just do it. if your parents cant nderstand it, thats their falt live it up and enjoy yor year.

friends-
keep in touch, senior year is not the time to start gay drama and lose touch with good friends you'll need them sooner or later, so jst keep an open mind and be forgiving, everyone messes up now and then...

4th QTR Blog Post #2-funny article

So here's the article. It may be based on Disney characters, but trust me it is NOT rated G. it's a little inappropriate, i know, but i just couldn't help but post it.

http://www.cracked.com/article_16795_7-most-terrifying-disney-movie-deaths.html

It is the top 7 most terrifying Disney movie deaths. This is basically criticizing Disney for having G rated movies where the most horrifying deaths occur. These movies are supposed to easy our children into comfort levels , whereas they are really sneaking terribly gruesome deaths into them!

The article itself is freaking hilarious, while at some times mildly inappropriate. It brings comic relief to an article that on some level, could be taken too seriously. I think it is sheer genius.

4th Quarter Blog #1- satyrical article

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/04/15/AR2009041502861.html

If you haven't read it yet, read it. I have never been soo intrigued and insulted at the same time. George F. Will has the nerve to insult one of the most famous/popular/and well known pieces of clothing America has ever seen. One in which almost every person in this country owns, Denim, or more commonly known as Jeans. Let me just say, i admire how bold he is. It takes a confident man to insult a whole country, so for that, well done. Now, let me just say you are an arrogant ass. You even admit to owning a pair of jeans at the bottom of your article! While the article was written beautifully, you shouldn't have wasted all that talent on such a useless piece of writing. While i completely understand that it is a piece of satire, and not meant to be taken this seriously, it's nonetheless insulting and stupid. I hope next weeks is a topic i cant at least try to comprehend.

Editorial

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/02/18/AR2009021803137.html

My thoughts:
Well first, I completely agree with the author. Obama had a chance to take credit for something and FINALLY put this issue in the finished bin. But he didn’t. He has let it go on long enough and we need to finally make the decision to let them go in the US. They never did anything wrong so why punish them/ fear them?

Second, I thought that this article was perfectly written. The author went back and told us the story about how this came to be. He supported both sides, yet still made his opinion clear. He was supportive of Obama, but only wanted to see him succeed, which he is not…

I thought that Obama should have made the decision. I don’t understand why it is so hard to come up with. Grant them citizenship and let them loose. They were innocent when they got shut in, but they are still innocent and they have to suffer. Its just not right.

#3 Bog post

This cartoon is one that was from a recent mockery of Obama. It is involving two men, one that is Obviously President-elect Obama, due to the drawing, and the refrences. The other man, im not too sure of. However, i believe he is a congressman or someone political due to the hat, which must be some sort of symbol. In the caption, the man is asking Barak whether or not he has any legit refrences. He remarks about all the corrupt people Barak has been known to hang around with. It is secretly incinuating that he has been hanging around with bad influences, and i cant help but agree. ;)

Politcal Cartoon #2

So, here's to blog post #2. First of all, if you didn't get this, recently there has been a big scam going on over the left over Senate seat due to Obama becoming President-Elect. So, Mr. Blagojevich, being the clever man he was, thought he'd sell Obama's old seat, and see what he could get out of it. Well, what he didn't know was that he was already being investigated....fool. So, in the middle of all this scandal, the FBI "wired" him, and caught him in the act. So last week, the FBI drags him out of his house. Embarrassing, right? Now they're looking to track down all those people who were suspected of having bid on the seat. Jessie Jackson Jr.? Hint. Hint.
So in this post, you see Mr. B, being dragged away by the FBI, and a big chair labeled Obama's senate seat, with a for sale sign on it. Mr. B is commenting that he shouldn't be in that much trouble, "it's not like I posted it on Ebay."
Basically, this is what our Government has come to. Lets hope it can only go up from here.

Blog- Political Cartoon #1

So, as we are amidst the blog portion of our studies, once again, here we go. This is a political cartoon i found online (PS-full credit to the scribbly name in the left). In this cartoon, you see a man trying to be expressive. We can gather that he is Barak Obama from the pin on his chest saying OBABA '08. You also see donkey, usually symbolizing Democrats. This donkey in particular look like he has overdosed, or should be in a loony-bin. He is holding a piece of paper, and from his caption, we can assume it is a list of Obama's record. He says that it is, "practically spotless," which is correct because the paper only has one item on it, 2008 Keynote. The donkey also mentions Obama's charisma.
All in all, i felt this cartoon was mocking the people who were, just like the donkey, voting/supporting Obama. It explains that, yes, he may be a good speaker, and yes, he may be able to "move" a crowd, but what has he ACTUALLY done for country? His record isn't too impressive....
